new hair!

ok, ok, so i'm really excited about the finger puppet i made today!! for a little while, i've been trying to figure out how i was going to make big tall hair and have it be able to stand up alright. i thought about felting it, but i didn't want it to be too stiff and i also don't have all that much white wool roving. so i tried using fiberfil, and at first it was too wild and wasn't keeping form at all. so i figured since the fiberfil sort of feels similar to roving i would try and see if my felting needles would work. and they did! so now i have an abundance of material to make awesome, big haired animals out of! i'm so happy!!

you can certainly expect to see many more of these big haired ladies.
