It's cold!

Well, cold for here. 41 degrees is not cold back home. It's a heat wave in the winter time. But here it feels cold! It makes me feel like such a sissy!

For the most part our house is pretty warm, but the guest room and my craft room are cooooold. The heat in the guest room just flat out doesn't work and in the craft room it just doesn't work all that well. I guess I'm just not quite used to it yet so yesterday I piled a bunch of stuff in little box and worked in the living room. It was nice and sunny and warm and cozy!




Clearly, Austin thought being cozy was a good idea yesterday too. This is kind of what my living room looks like. I want a new rug. I hate that stupid red one.

Hey you guys! Here's a lady!




I'm tired. Austin has been sick and Adam and I have been getting up a bunch at night to take him out. I'm glad that at the very least he's really good about letting us know he needs to go out. I just feel bad for the little guy!

On Sunday Casie and I went up to Portland to have a PDX Craft Mafia meeting. Only a couple people showed up, which I think in the end ended up being great because we were able to really get down to business and discuss some important things. We have the potential to do some really great things and I think it's going to start now!

brooches!

I made some new felt brooches the other day. I made two others, but this one is my favorite! I had a hard time deciding if I even wanted to sell it but seeing as how I rarely ever think to wear brooches, I'll let it go!

Maybe it's because I've only lived here a year, or maybe it's because I'm just flat out forgetful (I'm banking on the latter.) but I forgot the race that is catching the sunlight long enough to take picture. Compared to last year this time when I didn't think the house got all that dark when it was cloudy it feels like a cave sometimes!

I realized today that I am only a couple posts away from 100! I'm contemplating some sort of giveaway or something! I've never done anything like that before so it seem like it might be fun! What do you think?

Well, well. I've had a busy couple of days.

I totally missed out on Halloween. I woke up feeling sick as a dog on Friday and I was so bummed out. I kept hoping that I'd feel better by the night time but, no dice! So Adam and I watched Ghost Hunters Live and ate cookies.

Saturday totally made up for it though...because Adam asked me to marry him!! We picked out a ring together on Wednesday, but it had to get sized, etc, so I didn't know for sure when it would be ready. So it was still kind of a surprise!! We are both so happy! Umm, here is my ring!!

Picking out a ring was one of the more stressful things I've done in my life. I'm pretty sure I looked terrified the entire time and my heart was beating about 8 billion time a minute.

I've started doing some stitching on paper again. I really like what has been coming out. I need more patterned papers or magazines or whatever to cut up. Or I just need to make some.








I know I have said it a million times, but I really need to see if our scanner works. I think I want to get some frames for these and put them in the shop.
