so the past few days have been pretty much spent gushing over the new puppy my mom got. i haven't made any stuff. not that i was making tons before really, but i was trying to get a little done at least. i've had a cold the past few days too. i feel pretty good today, but i'm sleeeeeepy. all i want to do it lay in bed and watch that 70's show and other lazy stuff.

anyway, today since i have the day off i decided to do some felt stuff and i made a few more pins. i made another heart one in different colors and a new cupcake one.

i still can't find my pyschonauts disc! i want to make those merit badges so baaaad!

another pin! i don't know how i managed to cut that little anchor out. it's pretty damn tiny. so tiny that i couldn't cut a hole in the top part, which is why there is a french knot instead.

i wish that i still didn't have piles of stuff from the move home all over the house to un/re-pack. i have a bunch of good ideas right now and i just want to work on those not throw out more old stuff. boooring!

my cat is sitting with my right now. she's such a loud purrer. it's cute, unless you're trying to sleep and she is laying in your face.

i think i need some smaller scissors. i've almost cut myself one too many times with my big ole' fiskars. yeah. new scissors.

so this isn't totally what i wanted to make, but this i just a little trial of a badge/shield kinda deal. i still like it but i'm anxious to try some other stuff. i should start wearing the stuff i make. that's a good way to advertise, right?

so much stuff!

since i'm finally into crafting i can't stop marveling at my mom's craft room. it is jaaaaaam packed full of everything you could ever want to do pretty much any project. this picture, by no means does the room justice. there are at least 100 other drawers/containers full of stuff. and still, that's not even everything.

oh yeah and tons of books and patterns and a big button collection and....you get the idea.

she set up a little desk for me to work on while i'm home for the next few months. it makes me very happy and want to sit at it all day long. in fact, i'm at it now thanks to my new laptop.



i have some ideas for new felt stuff. i'm excited! i want to make some merit type badges inspired by the merit badges you get in the game psychonauts and duh, of course, girl scouts!


this will either be awesome or really crappy!

so for a while now i have wanted to have a craft specific blog. here it is! yayayayay!

so this is my most recent project: felt pals!

a while back my mom had given me a big bag full of old wool felt to use for some crocheted finger puppets that i was making for my senior thesis. the colors are so rich and bright and the felt is woven so tightly. it's become my favorite material...at least for the moment.

but anyway. i am really loving making these felt pals. they're quick and easy and they provide the attention to color that i crave in every project.

they are for sale in my etsy shop. i've only sold one so far. i'm so bad at advertising. i design lots of stuff, but i don't know what to do with it after. i'm no good with figuring out printing stuff, not to mention that i am totally poor at the moment.

yeeesh! anyway, felt pals! my new thing. i plan on making a million-zillion of them this summer. so just watch out.
