last night i decided i wanted to learn embroidery. well, maybe i didn't decide that last night, but i decided to try it last night. really, i only know the back stitch and how to make a french knot, but that's ok with me for now! i tried embroidering one of the white twins felt pins, but i haven't finished that yet.

today i decided to try it on paper instead and i think i like that even better. i just drew the image on the back of the paper and stitched over it!


anyway, now i want to buy a million colors of embroidery floss!

so it seems that adam and i will be packing up and moving! again! it's funny to think that just a few months ago i had never lived outside maine and now i will have lived in 2 other states before the year is over! i'm excited though, i think i will like oregon more than i like wisconsin. i think i will just feel more at home there. green bay is nice, but adam and i are used to being able to walk places and go to the ocean and that kind of stuff, so it will be nice to be in a city like that again!

it sucks that we have to leave our house! it's so nice and big and in a really nice neighborhood, but oh well! i've already got my eyes set on some pretty adorable looking places on craigslist. so hopefully we will get to look at those when we go visit in a few weeks.

ANYWAY!

i haven't been very productive the past few days. it's partly just been me being lazy and also partly me being distracted by adam being home. i did do lots of printing the other night though! i made prints that i think i'm going to turn into notecards, stickers and some other stuff...like these:

there were two coin purses, one of each twin, but i already sold the other one to a friend. i love those two drawings, i could literally print them on everything, buuuut i think i should probably stop some time soon.

yeah!

so i was just reading the super adorable blog cuteable and saw some of my work on it! pretty awesome!

i finished up this illustration today. it's basically just a digital version of a little painting i did. i wish that i had a laser printer so i could make some little prints. that's one thing i definately miss having access to at school.

adam is working on my website today. i'm super excited! it's going to have the same woodgrain in the background as this blog does because i'm pretty crazy about woodgrain. we got more gocco supplies in the mail the other day and i can't wait to start printing more stuff. i just need to decide what it is i want to print now!

it's cold here today. it's only 51 degrees and it's kind of windy. i went outside to get the mail earlier and shivered the whole time. then i came in and put on awesome gray socks that have sharks all over them! SHARKS! i got them at old navy for 47 cents at old navy. what a buy!

oh man, i had almost totally forgotten about this project i did a few years back. i made a bunch of "paper dolls" in illustrator. they were so funny! you can see some of the other ones i made here:

business cards!

so i finally printed up some little business cards for myself. i'm really, really happy with how they came out. the background is gold dots. which you can sorta kinda tell from the image. they look much better in person. i'm glad that i made them myself and didn't just have some printed up at vista print or something.

i also printed up some little cards to go in the packaging of my note cards that i will be sending off any day now. they're in gold ink too..which i now know looks amazing on vellum.

i love vellum and gold gocco ink.
